Frank Reilly (1977)

 

Frank Reilly was the Twin City and Big 12 Conference cross country champ in 1976, and his 3-mile time of 14 minutes, 52 seconds ranks first on the school's all-time list. As a senior, Reilly was a state qualifier in cross country and placed 41st with a time of 14:54. He was a two-time Big 12 and district champion in the mile. In 1976, he ran a leg on Central's school-record 2-mile relay squad, which placed seventh at state and recorded the 13th-best time in U.S. high school history. His time of 2:14.8 in the 1000 indoors ranked first in the state and seventh nationally. Reilly's time of 4:19.9 in the 1600m ranks second in school history behind Hall of Famer Rick Rundus.
